4. Problem 27 ("prove by components" -- note that here you're deriving the so-called "law of cosines")

5. Think about the equation "F = ma" where "F" and "a" are vectors. What does this equation mean, exactly? Answer once in terms of magnitude and direction, then again in terms of vector components.
