Tips for Finding Journals & Newspaper Articles

There are two ways to search for your articles:

1) Printed journal indexes - to find articles written before 1980
Reader's Guide to Periodicals Literature (REF 050 R28 - in Reference Room)
New York Times Index (REF 909.82 N56 - in Reference Room)

2) Online journal indexes - to find mostly articles written after 1980 (except for JSTOR databases which archive some full-text journals as early as 1880's). For Global Issues: Anthrosource, JSTOR, InfoTrack General Onefile, Lexis/Nexis and Proquest will be most useful. Scroll down to see sample searches.

You can find these on the Library Article Webpage.
Select Search journals for full-text (electronic & print) to search for titles of full-text journals or to search journals by specific subject.

Example:
Social Sciences - Anthropology - Anthropogeography & Human Ecology
