In addition to reading the pages in Weschler as indicated on the syllabus, please do the following: choose 5 goods or services or other entities that have prices, and think about the nature of the market involved, if any, and some of the factors that might contribute to a determination of those prices.  Be imaginative in choosing prices, but don't forget the ordinary. Make some notes for discussion purposes.

I don't know how many of those who turned up yesterday will be back Tuesday.  Meanwhile, I have heard from a couple others who intend to take the course. Unless yet other students turn up (and they would have less priority at this point,) we are OK on class size. However, there may not be sufficient copies of Weschler in the bookstore, so please share.  The library copy is on reserve.  I have scanned the first reading assignment and posted it below.
