Writing for September 22
1) Write a key account or moment from your fieldwork/interviews. This might be an entry story or the moment something noteworthy happened. It could be something someone said to you on the street or in an interview. Or it might be something completely everyday that has stuck with you as being worthy of thought in terms of your Plan work. Write that up with abundant details so that your reader may join you in seeing/hearing/feeling the event/moment.
2) In a separate page/paragraph, note the implicit or explicit comparisons (this thinking of chapter 1 of How to Read Ethnography).
3) In yet another paragraph, ask yourself (and write about this): how does this particular account help situate or illustrate or open up questions that will be important for the discussion, analysis, and interpretation to come.
Take a least an hour to do this, but if it is helpful keep going! (And Juliette, as a SR2 you might pick something that you've already written and focus on #2 and 3.)
